Industrial Relations
On Industrial Relations it is the clear aim of the NSW Chamber to provide a comprehensive service to all our members ensuring a safe, prosperous and functional workplace for all members and staff.
Fortunately the new National Employment Standards (NES) regulations have simplified the overall employment regulations in outlining clear employment objectives.
The three booklets the Chamber has issued, White, the NES 2010, Blue, the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2010 and Green, the Storage Services & Wholesale Award 2010, cover most employees in the markets.
In order to simplify matters the Chamber has developed ‘Individual Flexible Working Arrangements’ that conform to NES standards and allow for flexibility that is acceptable under the new awards. All our documentation is approved by the Australian Federation of Employers & Industries; (AFEI) to ensure it conforms to the NES regulations.
In line with this the Chamber offers regular updates and basic wage adjustments, changes to regulations and is only too happy to assist members with all other wage related matters such as long service leave, superannuation, holiday loadings, sick leave and the like.
The Chamber also offers a comprehensive mediation and counselling service to its members and staff to assist you in maintaining a friendly and harmonious working environment.
