The People of Batlow Thank You
The 26th of March saw the Batlow RFS Category 7 fire truck’s unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony at Sydney Markets. Carlo Trimboli, Chairperson of Sydney Markets Foundation, RFS Assitant Commission Rebel Talbert and the Batlow RFS Brigade were on hand to officially take ownership of the new fire truck. The event was a great news story, resulting in tremendous exposure across Channel 9, Channel 7 and SBS. Radio coverage through John Laws, 2GB, Tripple M and Snowy Mountains Radio gave even more coverage that was further complemented by print media coverage.
The following day saw another unveiling and ribbon-cutting ceremony but this time at the Batlow Show. The Mayor, James Hayes, Batlow RFS Captain Darryl Watkins, James Kellaway representing Sydney Markets Foundation and Brad Latham from Sydney Markets Limited, handed over the truck to the Batlow RFS Brigade in front of the Batlow community. The people of Batlow demonstrated their appreciation by signing the Thank You banner that can be viewed at Freshmark’s office until the end of April.
Your kind and generous gift will help the community of Batlow fight fires today and for future generations to come.
